Preliminary presentation, team recrutement, lauching AEU, feasability studies, tender, project management and global design
In 2008, the Ateliers 6.24 contacted the elected representatives of Lillebonne asking me to explain the AEU Environemental Approach to Urban planning as they were gathering some ideas to develop the township.
One year after a preliminary presentation, we were contacted by the council to start the process. I was in charge of coordinating the team, made up of Geodev (urban study consultant) , Folio paysage (lanscape designers), 3GE (expert surveyers) and SHEMA (land developper).
We set up a schedule, performed a complete site analysis (soil tests, hydrology studies, existing fauna and flora surveys, existing buildings and land use, etc...We designed different development scenarios with feasabilty studies to prepare the tender's offers.
The project resulted in a mixed density development, with pubic housing units and private allotments . A strong community intention with a collective wood-bruning system for distributed central heating, a cooperative market and child/aged care center.
The new plans included community terraced gardens, redevelopment of the forest edging, differentiated management of the landscape with support of the existing sheep farming (integrated into public landscape maintenance).
